The following applications and advantages have been demonstrated in operating drinking water (potable water) plants
using ozone water treatment:
1/100th that of chlorine and 1/1000th that of chloramine.

- Efficient disinfection over a wide range of temperature and pH
- Destruction of bacteria, viruses, spores, giardia and cryptosporidium

- Ozonation can reduce the chemicals needed for flocculation or flotation by 20-50% while improving filter
performance due to micro flocculation effect - Reduces turbidity and dissolved organic carbon by enhancing aerobic digestion in biologically active filters
- Reduces the amount of chlorine required to maintain a residual in the distribution system
- Remove synthetic micro pollutants found in surface and ground water.
