Richard J. Coin (Dick)
Dick is a cofounder of Spartan and is currently a Technical Consultant for the company. Dick has 35 years of
engineering, product development and research experience. He spent 23 years with ELTECH Systems Corporation
where he held senior scientific positions in the Research Department.
Prior to working for ELTECH, Dick spent 12 years with Diamond Shamrock Corporation, a major chemical and energy
company. At Diamond, Dick held positions in plant operations, research and development.
Dick has a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University. He is also the inventor or co inventor on
11 US Patents. One of Dick's patents is the basis for the electrolytic organic destruction (EOD) process marketed by
Spartan. Dick is a member of the International Ozone Association.
