Spartan Environmental Technologies Announces the Introduction of an Integrated Ozone UV Advanced Oxidation System.

ULTRAZONE Ozone UV Advanced Oxidation Process


Spartan Environmental Technologies announces the introduction of a integrated Ozone UV advanced oxidation system, ULTRAZONE, for industrial water treatment applications.

The ULTRAZONE process is a completely self contained skid mounted advanced oxidation system which includes an oxygen generation system, ozone generator; ozone/water mixing system, UV reactor and PLC control system. The user simply makes water and power connections. The system is fully factory tested prior to shipment.

Advanced oxidation processes produce hydroxyl radicals capable of removing virtually all organic compounds from water. In the ULTRAZONE process UV light converts ozone into hydroxyl radical without the need to add any chemicals. Electrical power is used to make both the ozone, from air, and UV light. No byproducts are formed since ozone and hydroxyl radicals breakdown to oxygen and water after use.

ULTRAZONE can be used to reduce TOC, COD, BOD and destroy specific organic compounds of interest that can not be treated by . Specific applications include reuse of process water, treatment of industrial wastewater and production of high purity water from various water sources.

Spartan Environmental Technologies and UV Sciences to Jointly Exhibit at WQA Aquatech USA. The booth will feature ozone and UV systems manufactured by the companies including their combined Ozone UV Advanced oxidation Process (AOP). Spartan will feature its SPARTOX fully integrated ozone water treatment system on a skid. UV Sciences will feature their proprietary high efficiency UVSI UV reactors.

Spartan Environmental Technologies to Present Two Papers at WQA Aquatech USA Education Sessions on March 9th, 2010

Spartan marketing Director Anthony Sacco will present two papers at the Aquatech Education Session sponsored jointly by the International ozone Association and International UV Association on March 9th as part of the WQA Aquatech USA conference and exhibition. The first paper will be on the use of the ozone UV advanced oxidation process (AOP) to remove TOC from a laboratory water reclaim system. The second paper will deal with the use of ozone in a rainwater harvesting system for a federal office building in NYC.
