Ozone water treatment serves a wide variety of applications in industrial, commercial and governmental settings.

Advanced Oxidation

Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP) are used for industrial process and wastewater applications. AOP are focused on difficult to treat applications where conventional treatment solutions either do not work or are uneconomical. Advanced oxidation involves producing hydroxyl radicals which are a more powerful oxidant than ozone and faster acting. While ozone is a specific oxidant, hydroxyl radicals or non specific and can oxidize virtually all compounds. They are produced in various processes including reacting ozone with peroxide, exposing ozone to UV light, exposing peroxide to UV light, via Fenton's reaction, among other routes.

Spartan provides AOP systems based on the ozone/peroxide route as well as the ozone/UV route. These are turn key packages including engineering of the AOP process into the overall application.

Laboratory and Pilot Testing

Spartan supports application development of both Advanced Oxidation and Ozone Water Treatment applications with laboratory and pilot testing equipment. These capabilities allow Spartan to qualify applications for AOP/Ozone treatment as well as develop engineering data to propose commercial systems.
